In the fall of '96, a 14-year old bright eyed girl came to Darin Shapiro's wakeboard camp. Her only real experience doing inverts was on a floor in gymnastics class. Four months later the ambitious student was doing huge Air Raleys, Front Flips and Double Up Tantrums as big as the pros in the men's division. With as much raw talent as anyone who ever stepped into a pair of boots, she has, in one short season, taken women's wakeboarding to a whole new level. She already has the credentials of X Games Champion, Overall Pro Tour Champion and World Record Holder under her belt. The Hamilton is 137cm in length with a continuous rocker for soft landings. Jeff probably had the most input in the design of our signature boards last year and loved the way his board rode. When we asked him what he wanted to change on his board he responded by saying his board was the "bollacks." When translated, it means no change required. The Lavelle has had such a tremendous level of success that Hollywood's talking about making a movie about it! For '98, Dean has redesigned the board that earned him the titles of '97 US Open and Pacific Wakeboard Free Ride Champion. His new board is almost one inch wider, which he feels gives him more sauce off the wake. It has a similar sidecut and the same rocker line as last years board - making his board one of the fastest out there. The bottom design changed slightly for improved edge control. The El Nino is back - the family favorite with a recreational flair. This twin-shaped board has soft rails for easy surface turns. A boot that has been in the devleopmental stages longer than any boot we have ever created is finally available to the public. Our riders wanted more support up in the top of their foot, and more distinct pressure points throughout the boot. The High Back comes with five different overlays that are adjsutable to form to the riders foot.
